Putting Health Policy, Direction & Innovation into Action

VHA Health & Home Support brings wellness services to people’s lives. Our goal is to promote personal well-being through professional care, support and education to clients and their loved ones – when and where they need it most. We are dedicated to our community and determined to help people affected by health challenges enjoy the dignity and independence of living the way they want to live.

A History of Innovation

Through creativity and research, we challenge conventional thinking to gain knowledge and understanding that result in new approaches to healthcare.

We’ve seen a lot of changes over our 65+ years of caring.

Collaboration

We work in partnership to build a seamless system of healthcare.  We listen to gain understanding, communicate openly, and to learn from each other.  We seek and welcome meaningful partnerships that contribute to achieving our Vision.

Board of Directors

VHA is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, who are elected members from the community. They are deeply committed to VHA’s mission and vision.

The Board governs the organization by defining goals and monitoring performance related to strategic and financial targets. Board members represent business as well as health care and community services.

The Process

Express your interest in serving on the Board by sending your resumé along with a note outlining why you are interested in joining the Board to jobs@vhaottawa.ca.

The Nominating Committee considers prospective candidates based on merit with regard to relevant skills and expertise, background and other qualities identified from time to time by the Board as being important.

Selected candidates are invited to an in-person interview to discuss how they might support the work of the Board.
